Let’s drink to that!

I used to joke with many of my patients, and still do, telling them, “When you are done with your Invisalign treatment and/or cosmetic dentistry, you will get married!”

I remember a few female patients told me this in response: “What are you talking about? I do not even have a boyfriend now!” 

And sure enough, a year or two later, they are now coming to me asking me this: “Dr. Noor; How did you know? I found this amazing guy, and we will be getting married in a couple of months!”

I was shocked myself that my jokes turned into reality for these patients who felt as if they had no hope!  Well, maybe I cheated…I knew what they did not know, and what most people do not honestly realize…Which is, there’s nothing more important than a great pearly smile to both you—and your partner especially— when you first met. Don’t you agree?   

We live in a society where we are judged everyday by our looks.  When we look at someone, the first physical feature our eyes are drawn to is their teeth, and their smile. You may not admit it, but just imagine a well-dressed doctor with the most expensive clothing. However, his two front teeth are overlapped, crooked, chipped, or he has a bunch of discolored fillings and gaps in few of his front teeth.  He may be the smartest man on the face of the earth, but YOU will never think so…Would you? 

We all associate great dazzling smile with someone who is smart, well-educated, successful, honest, polite, and trustworthy.  Well, isn’t this enough reason for us to do something about our own teeth?  If we were asked how much we are willing to pay to acquire such qualities instantly, most of us would put a high price tag on it.  What’s amazing is that everyday people can achieve such a great smile and become extraordinary with as little as 100 to 200 dollars a month! 

Thanks to various payment plans now offered at many dental offices, including Dental Pride, we have now brought more smiles to the faces of more patients than we could ever imagine.  

When I took the Invisalign course, I was ridiculed by my old boss and some others who said, “So you think this non-sense plastic is going to work? Force the teeth to become straight?” Well, in only four years, I have treated over 500 Invisalign cases, allowing Dental Pride to become the leading provider of Invisalign orthodontics in terms of how fast our practice is growing, and in terms of the difficulty of some of our cosmetic cases. 

Despite how busy and in-demand we are, and despite the difficulty of our cases, we have finished every one of our orthodontic treatments using the Invisalign system. I do not even believe it!

I got constant warnings from Align technology (makers of Invisalign) and our area representative that my patient’s dental cases will NOT work and we are sure to fail because Invisalign is not supposed to treat such difficult cases. But I proved them wrong.

So, what is my trick and why is Dental Pride the only office in the nation that can treat such difficult orthodontic cases?  My trick is YOU; you the demanding patient!  You asked and asked, and begged and pleaded, asking me, “Please Dr. Noor, I have been rejected by four other offices but I am an actress, CEO, model, etc…and I cannot possibly walk around with braces on my teeth!” 

Another secret is that I couldn’t say NO to anyone! As long as I feel something is clinically safe, I like to take on the challenge. No matter how difficult the orthodontic case is, no matter how many troubles we came across during the course of the treatment, no matter how many extra visits it took, we sat and figured out a way to fix it while most other doctors would simply put the patient in braces!

Some nights I could not even fall asleep until I figured out a way to overcome a challenge I had faced that day!  As crazy as it may seem, I came up with few tricks and techniques either when I was half sleep or totally in my dreams! Then I could not wait to run to the office and try it and see what works best. Over 6,000 photos and radiographs are the proofs that most of these techniques have worked.

Today, after overcoming such challenges and knowing what works best for my patients, I have come up with my own complete system and set of tools, techniques, materials, and treatment plans to treat each case to perfection.  A perfection that gives each patient not only a beautiful smile that we both can be proud of, but also a functioning, lasting smile with a perfect bite to avoid TMJ and many other jaw, bone, muscle, and masticatory problems.

The success is a result of proper assessment and combination of science, art, clinical experience and variations in numerous cases that we have treated at Dental Pride.  Nonetheless, I truly appreciate and acknowledge each and every one of my patients for their full cooperation and trust.  I must say, such amazing results is 99% patient cooperation and 1% my work. 

My passion is now creating dazzling smiles using Invisalign, lasers, natural-looking veneers, full mouth reconstruction techniques, and my personal clinical experience.  Invisalign has helped my patients undergo much more conservative treatments with much greater results, saving them time and money. Lasers have given us that extra edge and are used in so many treatments; I cannot even begin to list them here. Veneers have transformed my patients to smiling beauties in just two office visits.  But most importantly, my great teams of doctors and staff members have backed me up every step of the way to achieve such success at a young age to the point that I am now teaching orthodontists and dentists who have been in practice longer than I have.

I’d like to gracefully thank YOU, my office manger, and the entire Dental Pride staff for all their hard work and for taking care of, and keeping track of, so many patients and so many cases. I’d like to thank my family for putting up with my endless hours of working on Invisalign computer modeling for each patient, and Align technology for putting up with my crazy requests to work on the most difficult cases in the nation!
